About the show:

One evening in January 1944, in Marseille occupied by the Third Reich, Josy and André are about to celebrate a happy event. Suddenly, the Gestapo knocks at the door to arrest André and condemns this evening that promised to be perfect. Josy takes matters into her own hands, ensuring that her husband is nowhere to be found. Between a fierce struggle for survival, betrayal, and the energy of despair, the lovers prepare to live their last hours together. But an arrival disrupts their farewells: Maurice, Josy's brother and a Vichy magistrate. His presence quickly creates a palpable tension: is he there to save? Or to save himself?

In this breathless closed-door play in Alexandrines where the characters find themselves facing their own death, the question of the choices we make in times of war is at the heart of the debate.

Should we accept oppression to live in peace with those we love? Or should we fight against oppression at the risk of those who love us?
