Our performance venue in Paris
Our
historic performance venue is located in Paris's 10th arrondissement, where culture and entertainment intertwine seamlessly. Founded in 1981 as the "Théâtre de la Mainate," we decided to change its name to honor our dear friend Laurette Fugain. This café-theater allows the diverse audiences we attract to discover live performance in all its forms: dance, stand-up comedy, modern and traditional theater, children's shows… There's something for everyone, young and old.
Our Lyon theatre
It was in Lyon that we decided to open another performance venue in the La Villette district. The city is steeped in a wealth of cultures and significant cultural exchanges, making it a very fertile ground for creating and presenting live performances . In this venue, which seats fewer than 50 people, we wanted to continue sharing our welcoming vision of culture for all, where exchange and sharing are paramount.
Our performance venue in Avignon
The city of Avignon needs no introduction when it comes to theatre and live performance. It's thanks to its renowned OFF Festival that the city has earned its reputation as one of the world's greatest performing arts venues. That's why we have both a year-round venue offering a rich and diverse program, and a venue that opens only in July, during the Festival. With this in mind, we always strive to present both emerging and established companies. It's this freedom to manage our program that allows us to offer you everything from children's shows and modern dance to comedy throughout the year.
A tribute to Julien Rey and his remarkable work
It is with immense pleasure and deep gratitude that we wish to pay tribute to **Julien Rey**, a talented playwright whose work continues to mark the contemporary theatrical landscape.
We have a particularly fond memory of the performance of his play **"Personnes sans Personne"** on our stage in July 2013. This exceptional creation, which touched the hearts of our audience and our artistic team, was awarded the prestigious **Prix Tournesol**, a well-deserved recognition of a piece of writing of rare quality.
Julien Rey's work is distinguished by its unique ability to explore the depths of the human condition with remarkable sensitivity and striking dramatic acuity. "Personnes sans Personne" perfectly embodies this demanding artistic approach, offering spectators a theatrical experience that is both moving and enriching.
