About the show:
Jane has only you, the audience, to bear witness to her existence, her hopes, her friendships, her passions. Unless Jane is something else too, or even more than that.
This one-man show accompanied by flute is Imago de Framboisiers' theatrical adaptation of the eponymous British literary masterpiece written by Charlotte Brontë, herself a governess who published this novel under a male pseudonym in the 19th century, in a world where women's voices were rarely heard.
Show presented at the Avignon OFF Festival 2022.
