About the show:

Jane only has you, spectators, to bear witness to her existence, her hopes, her friendships, her passions. Unless Jane is something else too, or much more than that.

This one on stage accompanied by the flute is the theater adaptation by Imago de Framboisiers of the eponymous masterpiece of British literature written by Charlotte Brontë, herself a governess publishing this novel under a male pseudonym in the 19th century, in a world where female speech was rarely heard.

Show presented during the OFF Avignon Festival 2022.
