How long is a play?

LT Site

The duration of a play varies from one work to another. Whether it is an original performance or a cover of a full text, the duration may change. On average, a play lasts 1h30 with an intermission . Indeed, the audience needs to be captivated throughout the show in order to appreciate and stay until the end of the performance. Some complete works can last up to ten hours. But many directors adapt works to last less than 1.5 hours in order to keep audiences attentive and entertained.
