How to participate in the Off Avignon Festival?

From July 7 to 29, 2023, the Avignon Off Festival is preparing to host fewer than 1,491 shows (including 466 creations) in 141 theaters in the city. For this 57th edition, 1270 French companies and 125 foreign companies are expected! These are not record figures but they are figures that still impress…


Whether you are a festival-goer or a live performance professional, it is necessary to prepare for your visit to the venue!


Festival-goers: reserve your place for the Avignon Off Festival


If you wish to participate in the Festival Off d'Avignon as a festival-goer, reserve your show place from physical or online points of sale . If you choose Ticket'off, purchase is possible up to 1 hour at the latest before the start of the performances; which allows you to do it more or less at the last moment in case of hesitation or change of program!


If the purchase is no longer available online, this does not mean that the show is sold out. We advise you to always check with the theater itself for availability.


Other regular dealers are available.

In the meantime, here are the key steps to follow to prepare for your visit:

How much does a theater ticket cost during the festival?


During the Avignon Off Festival, the price of tickets can vary from €11 to €25 depending on the performance you have selected but also depending on the theater you wish to go to. However, you can take advantage of promotions directly at points of sale, online, or on social networks.


Any request for a reduced rate must be justified at the counter and this concerns:


  • Young people aged under 25,
  • The students,
  • RMIste/RSA, PMR, 
  • Those over 65 years old, 
  • Holders of a senior card, an entertainment leave card, 
  • The intermittents of the show, 
  • Pregnant women, veterans, 
  • Under 12s, 
  • The FNCTA (amateur theater), conservatory students, students in professional theater classes (La School, Simon, Florent, Perimony, etc.), 
  • Holders of a Large Family Card, a Public Membership Card (former Off Card).


Please note, no tickets for children are offered free!


You can also buy a special pass for €35 at the Laurette Théâtre box office to have access to 4 shows of your choice throughout the duration of the festival.


On the occasion of the Avignon Off Festival, all off card holders automatically benefit from a 33% reduction on all shows during the festival. To participate and take full advantage of this world-famous event, it's a great opportunity!

Artificial intelligence becomes above all a source of inspiration for the world of spectacle, a pretext to explore universal themes such as communication, intergenerational conflicts and the place of human in a changing world. The theater, as a mirror of our contemporary concerns, is less interested in technological prowess than in the upheavals that they provoke in our lives. The stories that result from it are often tinged with humor and reflection, because behind the supposed coldness of the machines hide very human questions. Does artificial intelligence, a subject of captivating spectacle for the public why does artificial intelligence make such a good subject of show? First, because it is at the heart of the news. We talk about it in the media, we debate in the cafes, and everyone has their opinion on the issue. It is a theme that challenges and affects all generations, because it raises deep questions about our future. Then, AI is an excellent narrative lever to confront different visions of the world. One of the major tensions around this technology lies in the discrepancy between those who naturally adopt it and those who look at it with skepticism.
